We pride ourselves in designing from the micro to the macro, always pursuing an inventive use of space, balanced with a clever application of materials and custom detailing, this highlights the distinctive creative approach of our studio.Underpinned by a passion for research and design, we are inspired by the creativity that comes from the close collaboration between a diverse group of designers & makers. MAC Design Studio was founded by Alan Mc Mahon, an award-winning Interior Architect with over 20 years of global experience in a variety of specialised areas of high-end Interior Architecture. Throughout Alan’s career he has created luxury homes, boutique hotels & restaurants, wine bars, retail spaces, health & wellness spaces & workspaces.

Born and raised in Ireland, Alan's passion for design blossomed from an early age. He pursued his education in both Ireland and the UK, achieving a first-class BA Hons in Interior Architecture. Venturing into the international arena, he collaborated with industry leaders. He excelled as a Senior Associate at Woods Bagot Sydney. During his seven-year tenure, he led the Residential & Lifestyle team, nurturing his expertise in crafting exceptional interiors.
Drawing from over 20 years of experience as an award-winning Interior Architect, Alan has specialized in various high-end areas, including hospitality, residential, and retail projects. His career has taken him across the globe, leaving his mark on noteworthy ventures in Ireland, London, New York, LA, Moscow, Barbados, and Sydney.
A firm believer in the profound impact of well-designed spaces, Alan approaches each project with both individuality and a holistic perspective, harmonizing his design vision with the unique requirements of his clients.
At MAC design Studio, his brainchild, Alan employs a bespoke approach for every undertaking while always exceeding his clients' expectations. The studio takes pride in meticulously crafting designs that consider every detail, from the micro to the macro.
