PROJECT
ARDOUR MILTON PARK

01 about
There is a particular discipline required when working with a place like Milton Park. One that resists both reverence and reinvention. At Ardour Milton Park, MAC Design Studio approaches heritage not as something to preserve, but as something to understand, edit and allow to breathe.
Originally established in 1910, the estate carries a strong sense of arrival. The procession through landscape, the scale of the architecture and the quiet formality of its original homestead creates a natural transition from the everyday. This experience became the foundation for the interiors, guiding a design response grounded in proportion, atmosphere, and material restraint.
The project spans the full experience of the estate, from the entry sequence and reception spaces through to public rooms, restaurants, and guest accommodation. Bars, lounges, private dining rooms, and guest suites sit alongside a broader offering that includes a spa, pool hall and dedicated wedding and event spaces. Each has been considered as part of an evolving concept ensuring the guest experience feels seamless.
The work extends beyond spatial design into the complete interior language of the project. Custom furniture, lighting, rugs, carpets, and joinery have been designed specifically for the estate, alongside the careful restoration and integration of existing antiques and artworks. Each element contributes to a cohesive narrative rather than a series of individual moments.
Original detailing has been retained and reframed through contemporary layers that prioritise comfort and ease. Spaces feel settled rather than styled, with each element contributing to a continuous and considered atmosphere.
The result is an environment shaped by restraint. One that unfolds gradually, where heritage and contemporary life sit in quiet alignment, and where the experience of luxury is felt rather than declared.
